MUSIC QUIZ FROM LOONEY’S TUNES SHOW Aug 3, 2025 #326

*The frontman for this London band formed in 1970 was no stranger to going solo as well.  His 1975 solo effort came at a time when both the US and UK were flirting with disco music.  The track we'll play is about hitting the streets in search of some casual, no-strings frolicking.  The singer envisioned it as a young guy zooming off in a car, looking for action at a club.  Name the Frontman, his band and extra credit for the name of the track...

*Without a doubt, this member of a most famous British band, primarily in the 60's, released his best solo effort in 1970.  The album was notable for many reasons, but what the artist did crafting material that managed the rare feat of conveying spiritual mysticism without sacrificing his gifts for melody and grand sweeping arrangements.  Name the artist, his former band and extra credit for the name of the album...

*Robert Quine was born in Akron, Ohio, 8 years prior to The LooneyMan in the same city.  That may be trivia enough, but Quine went on to become an exceptional guitarist...one that was recruited in the early 80's to join another great American artist's band.  He played with said artist on a 'Live' album released in 1984...one that included a lengthy rendition of one of the artist's most famous songs.  Name the artist and extra credit for the song name...

*This artists' 9th studio album was a 1995 musical which based the work on the classic story of Faust, but updating the story to the modern day and infusing it with humorous cynicism.  This song on that album was sung by Bonnie Raitt.  It was quite surprising then that in 2008, he closed his new album with the song sung by him.  While the song lyrically did not interest him, he has been told by many strangers that this song means more to them than anything else he's ever written.  Name the artist and extra credit for the track name...
