*Notorious for shunning live performances, this band's improbable live reunion in the mid-90's eventually turned into a full-fledged reunion album. Fans of the group had gone 2 decades without the hope of a new album, so the prospects were delightful even if said fans had no idea what to expect. What we all received (and The LooneyMan was in attendance at their inaugural show of the tour) was as seductive and alluring as anything the band had previously done. All this prior to reuniting with his previous band. Name the artist... *When this fantastic artist applied his incredible songwriting talent to the unsettled morass that was the early 70's, he produced one of his greatest, most important works in 1973. Themes dealt with included spirituality, political ethics, drugs and the unnecessary perils of urban life with funky, catchy tunes. A collection of songs that seemingly apply to any decade since then. Name the artist and extra credit for the name of the album... *The frontman of this incredible hit-making band, when putting together tracks for their 1999 album were legendary for not really being big on venturing back to completed tracks to see if they could do it better. But one song on the album stood out for such a review. They went at it with a bit of heavy alcohol consumption and more and more takes. The end result?
