*Autry DeWalt was his real name, but when he fronted his band in the 60's, he was known by another name. He was a saxophone player who made his debut on this 1965 hit and was forced into handling the vocals as well when the singer who was assigned to the session didn't show up. *This excellent American artist is many things, but predictable is not one of them. His solo career came in fits and starts with waits as long as a decade separating solo albums. When records did arrive...they ranged from brilliant to bewildering. We'll dip into a 2004 album recorded in L.A. with excellent studio veterans giving it a sweet county-tinged acoustic feel. Name the artist... *The 60's were great for this British band, but those days were long gone by 1986 and the band members weren't young anymore. That's not to say they weren't smart however. as they continued to move further and further from their orchestral and classical roots toward a modern 80's sound. This album kind of got them back in the spotlight of the Top Ten in the U.S. and spawned 2 hit singles. Name the band... *Fleetwood Mac had many hit songs, but surprisingly, this song from their eponymous album in 1975 wasn't one of them...but it is a beauty. Part of the reason might be because the band chose never to perform this song live.
