*We'll enjoy a track from 1961, a song about a guy whose girl leaves him and he is left to wonder what went wrong, not an unusual theme for this artist who wrote a lot about broken relationships.  The song was written while the band was playing a club in hometown, Battle Creek, Michigan.  It turned out to be the artist's biggest hit.  Name the artist (who committed suicide in 1990) and extra credit for the name of the song.

*The internal dissension that was already eating away at this band's dynamic on their 2nd album came home to roost on the band's third and final effort, an album that we'll dip right into...   One of the famous key members of the band barely contributed to the album, writing only 2 of the songs and not even playing on the other songs that were written by other band members.  Not long after...the band closed it down.  Name the band and member who contributed so little to the 3rd album...

*Written by this band's founder and leader, the original title of the song was 'San Francisco Day'.  He actually played the song in various bands for years before reworking to the version we all know today.  This song just might be about physical travel to a far away place.  It's not clear what he's leaving behind or if this is purely an emotional journey.  The band leader and writer has an early Ohio pedigree, the band, one of Dale Hood's faves...just a couple of additional hints if you will.  Name the artist, the band and extra credit for the track name that was released in 1976....

*A song about middle age released by this artist in 1975 has many baby boomers in mind.  The artist himself, born in 1941, tried speaking for many of his generation with his music.  In 1975, this song garnered him the Grammy Award for the Best Pop Vocal Performance and the album won the Grammy for Album Of The Year.  At the ceremony, this artist thanked Stevie Wonder (who had won the award the previous 2 years) for not making an album that year.   Name the artist and the song which happens to be the title track of the award-winning album...   (Stevie Wonder won the Grammy the following year as well)
